FAQs & Policies
Used4Fans is a marketplace where social media stars can offer special products for sale to their fans. These products are unique in that they have already been worn or used and are sold in their used condition—for example, unwashed—to give fans the closest possible connection to the star. The STAR’s unique scent is thus preserved on the product or garment. We recommend shipping this special item to the FAN in airtight packaging to preserve it.
The ideas are diverse, and there are “almost” no limits to the imagination. The range of products extends from worn socks, underwear, sweaters, and swimwear to used bedding and even bathwater, which has been bottled in special small vials and sold.
In the first step, the user creates a STAR profile on U4F. Once all necessary information—such as social media profiles and a Stripe account—has been entered or set up, and a STAR profile has been created, you’re ready to go. During the profile creation process, the STAR must also choose whether to create a public or private profile. A public profile can be actively promoted by U4F on the landing page, whereas a private profile is anonymous and visible only to selected FANS of the STAR. The STAR can promote the anonymous profile on specific social media channels (such as Linktree) or send it as a link to selected FANS. Once the profile is created, the STAR can immediately start uploading and selling their first products. These are then visible to the FAN. Once the FAN has decided to purchase a specific product, the FAN adds the product to the shopping cart and can proceed to checkout by clicking “Buy Now.” Once the payment process is successfully completed, the STAR receives an email notification that a specific product has been purchased. Additionally, the STAR receives the shipping address for the product. After the payment process, the product appears with the status “Purchased” under “My Orders” in both the FAN’s and the STAR’s menus. As soon as the STAR has shipped the product via their selected shipping method and has added the link for tracking the shipment as well as the tracking number to the “My Orders” page for the respective product, the status changes to “Order Shipped.” The FAN will be notified of the status change via email and through their U4F “My Orders” menu. After the status change, the product must arrive at the FAN’s address within 10 business days. Until then, the FAN also has time to file a complaint regarding the order via the “Complaint” link in the email notifying them of the status change. If the FAN has not filed a complaint after 10 business days, the product is automatically considered delivered and accepted. If a complaint is filed within the 10 business days, the payment process is halted and the U4F Support Team is notified, which then assists in resolving the issue. If this is not successful, the money is refunded to the FAN.
“Ordered”: As long as the product has been purchased by the FAN but the STAR has not yet accepted the purchase, the system displays this product status. The STAR has 3 days to accept and ship the order. If this does not happen, the status is automatically set to “Order Canceled” and the product is automatically made available for sale again. The money remains in the STRIPE account until the STAR accepts the order. If the order is rejected—and thus changes to “Order Canceled” status—the money is refunded to the FAN.
“Order Canceled”: If the STAR does not wish to accept the order for any reason, is unable to do so, or the 3-day period expires, the order is automatically set to this status and the money is refunded to the FAN.
“Order Shipped”: As soon as the STAR ships the package, selects the shipping service on U4F, and enters the tracking number, the U4F portal displays “Order Shipped” as the product status. The FAN is notified of the status change via email. The product will be delivered within the next 10 business days. During this time, the FAN has the opportunity to file a complaint through the U4F portal if, for example, the tracking number isn’t working or the product hasn’t arrived. You can find more information on this in our Terms and Conditions.
“Order Completed”: If the FAN confirms via the portal before the 2-week period expires that the delivery has arrived as agreed or that no complaint is being filed, the status automatically changes to “Order Completed” after 2 weeks at the latest.
If a complaint is filed within 10 business days of delivery, the status changes to “Under Review” until the issue is resolved.
Offer used items with your personal touch, such as clothing that smells like you or your favorite perfume, bath products, handmade bracelets, bags with your signature, or other products—GET CREATIVE ;)
It’s best to pack the product airtight so that your special touch is preserved and your FAN experiences maximum joy when unpacking it.
Never ship a product that isn’t actually what you advertised on your page. Your FAN can and will likely rate you via the U4F rating system after receiving the order. The rating is visible to all your FANS. Bad ratings can lead to fewer products sold.
The more pictures you upload of the product, the higher the likelihood that your FAN will buy it.
Be sure to upload at least 2 images per product—the cover photo showing you wearing or using the product, and a second image showing the product in detail.
Describe your product in detail. On what occasion did you use or wear it? Who else might have been there? What does the product look like? What special features does the product have?... The more information you provide to your FAN, the more their interest will grow.
Don’t sell your products too cheaply. What would you pay for a sweater from a stranger? And what is that sweater worth to you if you can buy it from your favorite star—and it even smells like your STAR? Answer that question for yourself, and you’ll see what the U4F platform is really all about. Our STARs appeal to the human senses. In our case, the senses of smell and touch…
Regularly offer various types of products for sale, such as bathwater, worn underwear, a pair of sexy pants, used socks or shoes, or even a sweater that still smells like you. Your FANS might be interested in several of your products.
Never throw away old clothes again—sell them to your FANS with your personal touch and earn some income.
Link your social media accounts directly to your marketplace and keep your FANS updated on which products you’re currently selling.
Keep this in mind when setting prices—only you can offer this product, since your fans want it solely because of your personal touch. So it’s not the product, but you, who’s at the center of the buying decision.
You’ll receive a notification as soon as a product is purchased by a fan. Long chats with your fans are no longer necessary.
Link your personal, free marketplace to your social media profiles and promote your marketplace on www.linktr.ee and similar portals.
Gain new fans by creating a public profile. In a future version, you’ll also be able to hide specific products if you want to offer them only to a select group of fans.
Ship the sold product immediately after receiving notification of the sale. The faster the product reaches your FAN, the higher the chance that the FAN will buy from you again. And don’t forget—if you take longer than 3 days after receiving the order, the order will be canceled and the FAN will receive a refund.
U4F sends messages to your FANS on your behalf when new products go live on your marketplace.
Create a new and extremely lucrative source of income for yourself as a STAR. STARs report earning several thousand euros a month from the ongoing sale of personal products to their FANS.
As a STAR, you can choose from various shipping partners of your choice. You can also select your local postal service. FedEx is already integrated into U4F, but is not yet available in every country. If you decide to use a shipping partner of your choice (such as the local postal service), please select this shipping method when creating your product. Local postal services are usually slightly cheaper. You can usually find the approximate costs for domestic, international, and intercontinental shipments with tracking numbers on the website of your local post office or the respective shipping provider. Once you’ve selected the local shipping partner, you’ll need to enter 3 prices. Price 1 is for shipping your product within your country. Price 2 is charged to your FAN if they’re located on the same continent but in a different country than you, and Price 3 is charged to your FAN if they’re on a different continent. If shipping costs turn out to be higher than you anticipated when creating your product, you can decide whether to cover the additional costs—which will slightly reduce your profit from the sale—or to cancel the order. The decision is yours. Once you hand over the product to the shipping partner, please ensure that you have declared the product correctly. It is important for shipping and customs in the recipient country that you provide your information correctly. For example, the selling price and a detailed description of the product are usually important (Example: The item is a blue sweater purchased two years ago that I no longer wear and have now sold to a buyer. The sweater is worn and shows signs of wear…).
As a STAR, you will receive the selling price you selected, minus Stripe fees, plus the shipping costs you specified, transferred to your account as soon as the delivery has arrived and no complaint has been filed within 10 business days.
Once the STAR has received the order, they have 3 days to ship the package and update the status on U4F. This is done by the STAR entering the tracking link from the selected shipping partner and the tracking number on U4F and confirming the entry and accuracy of the data. Once this is done, you, as a FAN, will receive a message via your U4F menu and by email that your product has now been shipped. It may take up to 10 business days for your order to arrive. Until then, you also have time to file a complaint about your order using the link in your shipping email. After the 10 business days have elapsed, the delivery is considered accepted by you.

I can enter my personal FAN information, including my shipping address (a P.O. box is also possible), in my settings in the U4F menu. I can also configure my personal STAR settings in my STAR profile. These are, of course, anonymous.
If you want to keep your address anonymous, we recommend using a parcel shop or Packstation as the return address in case a package needs to be sent back to you. Alternatively, you can of course provide your home address.
To receive a package anonymously, you can rent a post office box from your local post office, have a package held at a branch, or use a specialized provider like SUB ROSA, which provides you with a pseudonym address for packages. Alternatively, you can have packages sent to another person with power of attorney for mail, or to a parcel shop or Packstation. Simply enter your desired delivery address in your settings.
Generally, in most cases, the declared value of the shipment determines the calculation of customs duties and/or fees. For example, the lower the value of a product as stated in the customs declaration, the lower—or even no—customs duties or fees will apply.
No customs duties apply to shipments within the EU. If products with a declared value of approximately EUR 150.00 or more are sent by private individuals to private individuals from a non-EU country to the EU or from the EU to a non-EU country, customs duties and import sales tax may apply.
These duties are generally payable by the recipient.
For shipments from one private individual to another within the U.S., no import duties are normally charged if the value of the shipment does not exceed $200. However, it is important that the shipment be declared as “personal use.” Furthermore, it is necessary to include a detailed description of the contents in the waybill so that the package is not classified as commercial goods.
For shipments from the EU to the U.S. and vice versa, customs duties and/or import sales tax generally apply, depending on the value of the goods. These depend on the declared value of the goods. It is important to declare the value of the goods and provide an accurate description of the contents. The duties are usually charged to the recipient upon delivery. To ensure the fastest possible delivery, it is important to provide all details regarding value and contents accurately to the shipping service of your choice.
As a STAR, after shipping the product, you must provide both the link to the shipping company (e.g., Post, DPD, etc.) and the tracking number. This will then be sent to you as a FAN, and you, as a FAN, can track the delivery via the shipping partner’s tracking system.
It is important that tracking your shipment is possible via the shipping partner you have selected. Your shipment must have a tracking number. Otherwise, you cannot set the product to “Shipped” status, and your FAN will not be notified of the shipment. Only when the status is “Shipped” ( ) can the transaction for your sales price be processed to your account.
When creating your STAR profile, you will also be able to create your own Stripe profile or log in to an existing Stripe profile. Stripe is an external, globally operating payment provider that specializes in exactly these types of transactions. As soon as your “virtual” Stripe account is created or you are logged into your existing account, you can start selling products right away. As long as the product does not have the status “Completed,” the money that your FAN deposited via the payment link remains in your Stripe escrow account. As soon as the product has been received and accepted by the FAN (this happens automatically 10 business days after the product is shipped, provided no complaint has been filed), the payment flow to your virtual Stripe account is triggered. From this account, the transaction fees charged by Stripe (usually approx. 4.4% of the total cost) are deducted, and the remaining amount is then automatically transferred to your account.
Unfortunately, returning products isn’t possible since these are items that have already been used. You can rate the STAR if they sent you the wrong product.
10 business days after the product has arrived and no complaint has been filed, the money for the product plus the specified shipping costs should be credited to your virtual Stripe holding account, and you can then access it—minus transaction fees. If you have any questions, you can contact Stripe Support at any time.
You can expect to receive your money approximately 2 to 3 weeks after the delivery is accepted; see the Stripe homepage.
There are absolutely no limits here. The more creative you are and the better you nurture your fan base and keep them informed about what you’re currently selling, the more revenue you can generate. Many stars report monthly earnings in the 4- to 5-figure euro range.
Various social media stars have already announced in various media outlets that they generate up to 50% of their income through the sale of products with their personal touch. So if you haven’t taken advantage of this opportunity to make money yet, now is the time—because you can significantly increase your earnings and tap into an additional source of income.
Quite simply—here, the STAR and their social media world take center stage. On U4F, you don’t sell anonymously; rather, just like on popular streaming platforms, the STAR sells themselves here. The profile itself showcases the STAR at their best and allows them to promote many of their social media channels. This allows the STAR to set the price for the product being sold on independently of the item’s actual value. For example, a globally renowned social media family sometimes sells their worn clothes for many times the original purchase price—simply because the item was worn by the respective social media star on a specific occasion.
Of course—your data will not be shared. Exceptions to this can be found in our Terms and Conditions regarding legal actions, etc.
